Buzzword Poster and Printouts for Jr. Analytical Grammar

Before I post about our first week of school for the 2014-2015 school year I wanted to share this document of Buzzwords used in Jr. Analytical Grammar that Bambi used for her 5th grade year.  We printed these out, she cut them out, and pasted them on a poster board.  It was VERY helpful for her to look at the poster as she went through her lessons instead of looking back through her book.  We also typed up the Six Deadly Splits to add to her poster.  I do not have these as a printout. Also, on the header of the printout, I state that there are 15 buzzwords, but there are 19 in all for you to cut out.   Bambi plans to use her buzzword poster for Analytical Grammar this year, which we plan to start in January after our Christmas break.

JAG Review Sheets.....It worked!

I'm happy to say that stopping JAG after 3 units for a week of review helped Bambi to master the material learned.  She needed that extra bit of practice and it definitely paid off.  She has hit the level of mastery for each Unit #1-3.  So this week she has moved on to Unit 4 with Prepositions.  If Bambi hits a wall or gets overloaded with information, I will stop again for another week of review!  Check out my recent post below with the Review worksheets I created to go with Units #1-3 for Jr. Analytical Grammar.

Jr. Analytical Grammar Review Sheets

Bambi is doing well with Jr. Analytical Grammar but I didn't feel that we should rush off to the next unit until she was certain that the first 3 units were mastered.  I will be making some review sheets for this week to give her some extra practice with what she has learned in Units #1-3.  I basically took some problems from each day for each unit to make a review sheet.  Here are the first couple.  Please check back for the rest later.  There will only be 3-4 reviews anyway.  Also, last week I did not have her take the Unit 3 Pronouns Test so she will take that this week after her review.  Then, depending on how well she does, we will move on into Unit 4.
